VINTAGE MENS SEIKO 5 AUTOMATIC DAY DATE WRIST WATCH IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
Time Remaining: 30m
Everyone, I will be away until Wednesday February 27, 2008 due to my being out of town. Most likely I will have some stimulating watches news, experiences, and stories upon my return. Stay tuned until then, and keep your eyes on your wrists!
Other than the color modifications, the rest of the watch is a rather strict adaptation of the Submariner style of diving instrument. Which is not bad thing. Other makers refine the look to best represent their individual brands, while Nivrel took the approach of adding a dash of color. What is interesting is that other watches in the Nivrel line up are totally unique to the brand, so it must say something about the classic diving watch look that encouraged Nivrel to make such a "faithful" adaptation.

Well what do you do when you want a something like a Daytona, but can't afford or get one. Sure there are legions of "imitations" that are simple low cost alternatives or play out fakes, but you aren't that type of person? You like the style, but you want something nice you can be proud of on your wrist. For me, this is a totally logical approach to satisfying a need. Others feel that if you can't afford a Rolex, you don't deserve to wear the style. Well let those stop here, and the rest of you can keep reading.
Virtual Ideas is comprised of a design team with six member who use modern three-dimensional design software and techniques to make realistic digital models of watches ready for production specifications. In other words, they offer full outsourced product design; from prototyping and development, 3D rendering, engineering creation, design face-lifting, and product analysis for the watch industry. Then all you need is a parts provider and manufacturer! I am sure with their connection they can help.
This particular model is simply called the Xemex XE 5000, nick named "Sun" due to the charming yellow hue of the dial. The color, is almost a cream yellow, and suits the watch well. Chronograph subdials are done in a soft chalky gray. The combination is far more calming that one might presume. Hands are black and stenciled nicely in white, and the red seconds hand for the chronograph suggests a utilitarian component to this otherwise very pleasant looking watch.

Earlier this year saw the release of the incredible, yet arguably excessive, new timepiece series from Romain Jérome, the Titanic DNA, a unique offering that uses parts of the actual ship in its construction. In what seems to be a year of firsts for this relatively new brand, Romain Jérome has introduced its own special interpretation of time in its extraordinary new creation, the Titanic DNA Day & Night. Limited to a series of nine, it is the world’s first watch not to display the time, however, that did not seem to do anything to deter those with disposable incomes far exceeding my own. The Day & Night sold out within 48 hours of its launch earlier this year as watch fanatics snapped up the US0,000 timepiece.

Most watches worn are made of steel. But not all steel is made alike. Even the term "stainless steel" can be placed on a variety of steel grades. It is important to know that steel is really a family of alloys which involve combining iron with many other metals including nickel, magnesium, zinc, and many others. Other than the mere mixture, the whole process of making steel varies. Because of this, the steel in a Rolex watch and the steel in a Fossil watch, are worlds apart.

Because this purchase policy is new, time will only tell what Apple is going to do. They are throwing wrenches into what is supposed to be a free market system. They are abusing or pushing the limits of consumer protection and credit card laws. They are cultivating an ongoing series of anti-consumer policies and practices that they should not. Further, their business model is most likely a violation of anti-trust laws, and it is only a matter of time being their conduct goes to far.
Inside is a trusty ETA 2824-2 automatic movement. As stated before, because Certina is part of the Swatch Group, it can enjoy ETA movement for years to come, as in 2010 ETA will no longer provide movements to any watch makers outside of the Swatch Group. Available with a black or "ivory" face, you can really see all the places that this watch might fit in, and for a few hundred bucks new, it is a decent investment or gift.
NauticFish is an offshoot brand from Schaumburg watch company in Germany. The line represents aggressively styled performance diving watches at reasonable prices, and here is a brand new one at an even more reasonable price.
UTS watches are not for everyone's taste, in the sense they don't get everyone immediately excited, but that is not their purpose. Like the stoic feeling of many things German, these are instruments meant to last, perform, and you keep you informed. If they look good during such activity, they aren't going to smile about it. It is up to the owner to endow such timepieces with their own sense of appreciation through years of trusted wearing.
In Kiev, Olga had little recognition for her creations at first. Looking back, Olga was not yet 30 years old when the Soviet Union fell. Caught in the midst of a joyful time, Kiev was reeling from fallout of the iron curtain. A new era of creativity was upon them after the fall, it was something new. During Soviet times creativity was stunted. Instead, invention became art. People needed to be resourceful - reuse parts, fix machines, and rarely buy anything new. It was from this reality that Olga drew much of her influence. Against the backdrop of an aging European city with its classic architecture stood need for invention. The ideal combination of elements that go into the steampunk aesthetic. After the fall of the USSR, things changed and Olga started making her clocks.
These watches typically go for a lot of money, often in excess of ,000 due to the materials, quality, and rarity. I am not only surprised to see this watch on eBay, but more surprised to see it brand new and going for ,500. While this is not a budget price, it is certainly an excellent value for the watch you'll get. So unless you are a man with very small hands (or child), you'll have to appreciate this watch from afar, on a woman's wrist, ideally a woman who is close to you.
A Limes 1 Tausend GMT is available on eBay right now for well under 00, which is an excellent deal. I can easily recommend this, and almost all German Limes watches. This is because of their quality, and dedication to being bold, useful, and lasting timepieces.
Going back to the Diavolo watch case, there are other less noticeable, but impressive elements that would only become apparent if they did not exist. The lugs are slightly curved as to conform to the wrist, while the entire case has no sharp or uncomfortable edges. Despite this, the case retains a well constructed,, angular and crisp look. The sides of the case feature a very sporty matte finish, that immediately turns into a mirrored polish on other surfaces. This visually extends the size of the face while amplifying the shape and curvature. Together these features make for a good-looking comfortable watch, and you'd really only notice them if they did not exist. For example, you don't complain about a comfortable watch, it only becomes an issue when sharp edges dig into your arm. Comfort is just never going to be an issue with the Diavolo in my opinion, as it is ergonomically well designed.
Further, this diving chronograph is one of NauticFish's original designs, and is no longer made to my knowledge. This watch represents a good aspect of the company's heritage.
The Chinese watch winders are usually on eBay or some other distributor websites. I plan on discussing how to find these another time.
Jochen Benzinger performs what is a lost art; the idea of taking the time to decorate the fruit of one's labor. In America especially, during the 19th and early 20th centuries, furniture makers would decorate their creations with patterns, carvings, and delicate attention to detail. Part of the idea was to differentiate themselves so that the consumer knew exactly who created the furniture piece. Today, watches, like furniture before them, are produced in an assembly line with less attention given to detail, and more to volume.

This article should benefit your perception of media and advertising. Today I take issue with use of terms such as "over sized, over stuffed, over...anything." They make me angry! And I'd like you to feel the same way anytime you see or hear them.
Concord wanted to emphasize modernity in the C1's design. A "watch of the future", or something ahead of its time. Movement wise, there is nothing special or innovative. The Chronograph models feature what is essentially a glorified ETA Valjoux 7750, which is the ETA Valgranges A07.211. I fail to see what is advanced or modern about a complication which has been around in form for almost 40 years. This price point should demand something better inside the watch. The case of this watch comprised of two large pieces of metal sandwiched together. Not exactly elegant, or modern. Looking at a side angle of this watch, I see what reminds me a 1980s vision of futuristic design for garbage or dump trucks. Industrial looking without much flair. Little attention to intersecting lines or balance. The result is strong looking, but hardly "designer worthy." Not particularly astute to being a "haute" watch, a label Concord is surely throwing around.
